Airport-Downtown Transportation

Toronto has two airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Billy Bishop City Airport (YTZ).

Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is Canada’s largest airport. It is connected to downtown via the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) and the UP (Union Pearson Express). There is also a limousine service to downtown Toronto.

TTC: Upon arrival at Pearson Airport (YYZ), proceed to the lower level and take the TTC bus #192 (Airport Rocket) to Kipling Station. Kipling Station is the last stop of the bus, so you will not miss it. Kipling Station is also the final subway stop. Each subway train leaving Kipling Station will go downtown. Once you are on the subway, get off at the desired subway stop/transfer onto the streetcar/bus/other subway line. Here is a link to the TTC website that includes a route planner: TTC

TTC fare: a token or exact change is required; keep your pop (proof of payment) for transferring (for information on where to buy tokens at the airport, please click here: TTC Fares, Passes, Tokens)

UP: For information on the Union Pearson Express (UP), please click here: Union Pearson Express

Toronto Billy Bishop City Airport (YTZ) is connected to downtown via the Porter Airlines Shuttle Bus, which stops at Union Station. Porter Airlines operates flights within Canada and to the North Eastern parts of the US out of Billy Bishop Airport. Air Canada operates flights to Montreal, one of its hubs, out of Billy Bishop Airport.
